European Award 2025: new dialogues between the arts and audiences

Digital technologies, international social movements and significant funding cuts are forcing museums, galleries, theatres, philharmonic societies and other cultural institutions to change their approach to engaging with audiences.
European Award 2025 is an opportunity for non-profit cultural organisations to get EUR 50,000 to implement innovative projects of audience engagement to art that can be shared and scaled across Europe. You can apply alone or in collaboration with other cultural institutions.
The award is organised by the Art Explora Foundation in partnership with the Académie des beaux-arts. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.
What do I get?
- Opportunity to win the main prize of EUR 50,000 to implement the innovative project of audience engagement in arts and culture

Can I apply?
Organisers are waiting for applications from museums, theatres, galleries, operas, orchestras, art centres, grass-roots organisations and other independent arts organisations that:
- Are registered as non-profit cultural organisations
- Are registered in Ukraine, EU, Great Britain, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro or Serbia
What do I need to apply?
- Application form completed in English or French
- Project description: outline the main project activities, target audience, partners, and expected results — up to five pages
- If available, photos and videos of the project that will be used for promotion
- Budget in the format of table: elaborate on all sources of funding where award income is no more than 80%
- Presentation of the applicant cultural organisation

How do I apply?
By 9 July, submit the online form in English or French.
Good to know
- You can submit only one application from each cultural organisation.
- Organisers will reveal a short list of 18 applicants in October. Three winners will be publicly announced at a ceremony in December 2025.
- The award amount will be paid in euros.
