Invisible University for Ukraine: online courses for Ukrainian students
This is an opportunity for Ukrainian students to complete intensive learning courses at Central European University, an international educational institution among the top five universities in Hungary.
You will learn more about Ukraine's role in the global context and will be able to implement a special research project on the war or related processes in Ukraine — the university will provide EUR 800 for the research.
The programme will last from 23 February to 22 May. The best students will go to the summer school in Budapest. Participation is free.
The courses are provided by the Central European University. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.

- Individual mentoring from leading European and Ukrainian scientists
- Classes in academic English and writing
- The opportunity to receive a scholarship of EUR 800 for a research project on the war or related processes in Ukraine. The best works will be published on the website of the interdisciplinary web journal Visible Ukraine
- The best students will go to the summer school, which will be held in Lviv and Budapest in July 2026
This programme is for students who:
- Have a good command of English
- Are currently in Ukraine or abroad
- Have just finished high school, are studying at university or have received a bachelor's, master's or postgraduate degree in 2021-2022
- Completed application form
- CV
- A motivation letter — up to one page
- If you want to apply for the research scholarship, a brief description of the project — up to 800 words
The documents should be submitted in Ukrainian or English.
By 10 February, submit an online form.
If you cannot apply online, please send all required information and documents to iufu@ceu.edu.
- The results will be announced on 20 February. If you applied for a scholarship, wait for the letter on 24 February.
- One lesson per week awaits you. Classes will be held in the late afternoon. There will be a recording you can watch at your convenience.
- Each course consists of 12 sessions, totalling 4 ECTS credits.
