This is a call for participants of an online cup for creative startups, with EUR 1,000 and the opportunity to represent Ukraine at an international Creative Business Cup BRIGHT as main prizes.

Impress the jury with your pitch in three minutes; leave them doubtless as to whether you should be the winner during the six-minutes QA session. The jury involves three experts in the creative industries. The board is international, so English is the working language of the event. 

The pitching will take place during the House of Europe Festival in Dnipro on 16 May 2021 from 12.00 to 14.00. The numerous audience will follow your presentation and cheer offline and online. We will announce the results almost right away: at 18.30 this same day.
 

What do I get?
  • Up to EUR 1,000 and an upcycled long sleeve from a limited collection, created by a Ukrainian designer Yasia Khomenko for the House of Europe Festival. If you win first place — the prize is EUR 1,000, second place — EUR 300, third place — EUR 200. 
  • If you win first place, you will compete with national winners from more than 80 countries for EUR 7,000 at the Creative Business Cup Global Finals. You will meet creative minds, startups, investors, and opinion-makers from all over the world. 
  • If you win first place, you will advance your pitching skills in training by leading creative industries professionals at the Creative Business Academy. The training will increase your chances to win the international competition. 
  • All participants will become part of Creative Business Network (CBN): the network of experts, startups, and investors from all around the world. 
What is the Creative Business Cup?

Creative Business Cup is the world’s only global competition for creative startups. 

Enterprises from 80+ countries pitch in front of a live jury, competing to become the best creative startup of the year and a money prize: EUR 7,000 for the first place, EUR 1,500 for the second place, EUR 1,000 for the third place. 

This year's Creative Business Cup Global Finals will be held online on 28-30 June 2021. 

 

Can I apply?
This opportunity is perfectly suitable for creative entrepreneurs and startups that:
  • Have a product or prototype having the market potential
  • Own the right of the idea of a product or prototype 
  • Are officially registered in Ukraine as a legal entity: sole proprietor, LTD, etc.
  • Have not yet received investments over USD 1,000,000
  • Have the core asset of the business based on creative competencies

What do I need to apply?
  • Ambitions to attract international investment and develop a flourishing business
  • Approximately one hour to fill in the online application form. It will help you structure the pitch and prepare for the jury's questions
  • Record a three-minute video pitch. We will assess it to select the startups to participate in the cup 
  • Good command of English language (B1–B2). You will pitch your startup and answer the jury’s questions in English

Good to know
  • Ten short-listed candidates will participate in the pitching. The defining selection criteria will be whether your startup belongs to creative industries and whether you demonstrate the motivation to participate in the Creative Business Cup Ukraine.
  • Creative Business Academy will take place from 1 June till 24 June. You will have online sessions on 1, 3, 7, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24 June from 14.00 to 16.30 Kyiv time twice a week.
