Cultural Heritage Digitisation Grants
Ukraine is home to a rich cultural heritage. Inspired by the vision of every landmark being preserved and made accessible to researchers, professionals, and enthusiasts across Europe, we created these grants. They are our contribution towards making this ambitious and costly goal a reality.
The grant offers up to EUR 20,000 and six months to digitise a collection of artefacts or an entire heritage site. You can use the funding to purchase modern 3D scanning equipment, set up a server infrastructure, cover cloud storage costs, or consult photogrammetry specialists. In doing so, you will help preserve Ukrainian culture and make it accessible to audiences around the world.
Follow us on social media or subscribe to our newsletter to be the first to hear about the open call.
This is for preserving memory
Everything matters. An ancient synagogue and a photograph of factory workers both tell the story of who we are. With this grant, you can digitise a wide range of cultural heritage — from manuscripts and paintings to artefacts and historic buildings.
This is for the expenses that matter most
Use the funding where it is needed most. The grant can cover equipment, software, cloud storage, and expert consultations. We will also provide modest honoraria for project teams, recognising the time and effort that heritage preservation requires.
This is for anyone committed to cultural heritage
The grant is open to museums, archives, and civil society organisations working to preserve cultural heritage. We do not require organisations to have existed for a certain number of years — what matters is having a motivated team with the expertise and commitment to deliver the project.
This is for national minorities’ self-expression
We want Ukraine’s national minorities to have the space and resources to share their culture. That is why we have created a dedicated open call just for them.
This is for you!
