This online course will introduce you to the European innovations on following-up the newborns and infants under the age of three years after discharge from the hospital. 

Consisting of 10 lectures from experienced doctors from the EU, the course will culminate with live streams where experts will answer your questions and clarify key issues. Lectures have embedded Ukrainian subtitles, while live streams are accompanied by interpreters.

After the course, you will receive a certificate acknowledged by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Three students with the highest scores for their homework will get gifts from a beauty brand Biokon.

What is on the programme?
  • Lecture 1. Screening and treatment of retinopathy of premature infants. 
  • Lecture 2. Anaemia in newborns and infants.
  • Lecture 3. Monitoring of mental and neurological development.  
  • Lecture 4. Neurosurgical support of children with  acquired and congenital hydrocephalus.
  • Lecture 5. Communication with parents at the first well-child visit. 
  • Lecture 6. Early rehabilitation of children after surgical treatment of birth defects.
  • Lecture 7. Management and support of premature newborns after discharge from hospital.  
  • Lecture 8. Management and support of newborns and infants with hearing impairment. 
  • Lecture 9. TORCH infections in newborns and infants.
  • Lecture 10. Children with congenital heart defects: tactics of follow-up.
  • A live session with lecturers for your questions and clarifications.

Good to know
  • At the end of November, the online course will be available for everyone. However, only the winners of this open call will get the opportunity to consult with experts in live streams and receive a printed certificate offering more points. 
  • You will receive an email with the results of the selection on 15 October 2021. To succeed, make sure to answer all the questions, attach a CV, and submit the application via clicking the “Submit entry” button before the deadline.
  • If your application is not selected, apply for the next open call or choose another House of Europe opportunity. 
  • You can only submit one application within one open call. If you fill in several applications, we will consider the one submitted first.
