This is an opportunity to work with cultural heritage, modernism, global warming or innovation themes during a three-month residency in Malý Berlín in Slovakia. Develop your projects and cooperate with organisers. A monthly stipend, an apartment in the city centre and a comfortable workspace will be covered for you.

The competition is provided by the cultural centre Malý Berlín and the City of Trnava. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.

What do I get?
  • A three-month residency in Trnava from May to July 2024. You will have access to all the cultural centre Malý Berlín facilities.
  • A monthly stipend of EUR 500.
  • Free accommodation in the city's historic centre and EUR 500 for round-trip tickets.
  • Networking with the cultural scene of another post-communist country. 
  • A chance to present your project to the public.
Can I apply?

The organisers are looking for cultural managers, curators and researchers who:

  • Live in the post-communist countries of Europe and the South Caucasus (except for Russia).
  • Are at the beginning of their career.
  • Are fluent in English, Slovak or Czech.
What do I need to apply?
  • Completed application form.
  • Portfolio.
  • A short description of your activity — up to 500 characters.

Good to know
  • Previous experience with international projects will be an advantage.
  • You can work on an existing project but are also expected to create something in collaboration with the cultural centre.
