This is an opportunity to pursue a master's degree or defend a doctoral dissertation in the Czech Republic. The programme will fund your studies and provide for your stay abroad. 

The master's programme lasts two years. You can choose a study programme in English or Czech. The postgraduate programme provides study programmes in English lasting three to four years.    

The scholarship is provided by the Government of the Czech Republic. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.

What do I get?
  • A monthly scholarship: around EUR 650 for master's and around EUR 690 for postgraduates. You will receive a scholarship only during your stay in the Czech Republic 
  • Social and health insurance
  • Assistance with finding housing 
  • All the facilities available for university students 
  • Annual preparatory study provided by the Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies of Charles University, if you choose a study programme pursued in Czech
Can I apply?

These scholarships are for students from Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Belarus, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Zambia, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Guatemala, or Jordan.

What do I need to apply?
  • Application form completed in English or Czech
  • General knowledge test 
  • English language test if you choose a study programme pursued in English
  • At least the B2 level of the Czech language on the CEFR scale if you choose a study programme pursued in Czech

How do I apply?

Fill out the online application by 30 September. Please remember to pass the tests; otherwise, your application will not be considered. If the application is selected, pass the interview and submit all the necessary documents.

Good to know
  • You will not be able to change either the university, the programme, or the study language.
  • You will need to cover the travel expenses by yourself.
