Youth4Regions: programme for students and young journalists

This is an opportunity for journalism students and young professionals to visit Brussels. You will learn about EU policy in different regions, visit media offices, meet well-known journalists and take part in press tours. The organisers will provide the accreditation for the events and cover travel expenses.

The programme is provided by the European Commission. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.

Can I apply?

The European Commission welcomes participants who: 

  • Are interested in EU cohesion policy
  • Aged from 18 to 30 years old
  • Have citizenship of Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova or another EU Member State 
  • Study journalism or have up to two years of experience in the sphere 
  • Have not participated in previous editions of the Youth4Regions programme

What do I need to apply?
  • Completed application form
  • CV
  • Short article of 500-800 words, a photo or a video report of 2-3 minutes depicting a project co-financed by Cohesion Policy or the European Solidarity Fund
How do I apply?

By 7 July, submit the online form in English.

Good to know
  • The results will be announced on 14 August.
  • Contributions are accepted in all 24 of the EU's official languages. For video submissions, a written summary in English is required.
  • The jury will reject applications written by AI.
  • Unfortunately, the organisers cannot explain why your application wasn't selected.
